AMBER TACKE, LCSW
The focus of my practice is the creation of a sacred and open space for children, adolescents, and families where they can heal from past traumas and life difficulties and restore balance within one's life.
I tailor treatment to each individual's specific needs through use of a combination of models including Mindfulness Base Stress Reduction and Narrative Therapy.
I enjoy working with adolescents and adults as they transition through life experiences and stages. The primary purpose of my practice is to help my clients awaken their own inner strength and make peace with any past pain.
I use mindfulness to help focus one's awareness on the present moment, which leads to increased sense of gratitude, development of deeper connection and alleviation of stress and anxiety.
Through narrative therapy I support individuals in the process of separating themselves from the problem; therefore giving power to their inherent strengths and skills sets and allowing them to successfully move forward.
I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are in need of support to help manage anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and past trauma concerns (including sexual, physical & emotional abuse or experiencing of a severely distressing event).
I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults as they transition into adulthood in hopes to help to foster a greater sense of self as they embark on a new journey.
I believe the therapeutic relationship allows individuals to foster a greater sense of awareness through self-discovery and provides a sacred space for individuals, families and couples to heal.
