DOUGLAS MORGAN, LCSW
I have been a clinician and supervisor for Pathways Transition Programs since 2008 when I started as a part-time clinician. I have been a full time clinical supervisor and clinician with Pathways since 2011.
I believe in meeting clients where they are and helping them to navigate whatever circumstances are making their lives difficult at the moment. My clinical orientation is one that incorporates aspects of Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Pathways Kaleidoscope Model™. I employ a strengths based approach that incorporates the individual or entire family when needed. I hope to help clients find strengths within themselves to deal with difficult life experiences and to give them resources to maintain their achievements well after our therapeutic relationship has ended. I feel that it is necessary to complete a thorough assessment of every individual's needs and to work as a team with clients to help them meet their goals.
My background includes working with children, families, and adults who have been victims of trauma, as well as issues related to shame, depression, and anxiety. I have a long history of working with children and families navigating the child welfare system, foster care, and adoption. I also have a background working in coordination with the juvenile justice system and work with children who are having behavioral problems, school related issues, or legal problems. If you are needing help with these or other related problems I would be honored to have the opportunity to work with you."
